Lorian Ellis found her love of language early. She grew up a voracious reader who delighted in subjects that were the bane of her fellow students: English, literature, and grammar. In 2020 Lorian joined Novel House, a group created by Michael J Sullivan for the purpose of teaching and supporting aspiring authors, but her journey there was anything but a straight line. Years spent traveling, working in the healthcare field, and experiencing all manner of strange and wonderful people and places lent her a unique perspective that came through in her writing. Lorian’s work in Novel House led to a collaboration with Sullivan and gave her the chance to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an author. Out of the Ashes, the first book in the After the Fall series, was the happy result.

Lorian was born, raised, and currently resides in the Southern Appalachians Mountains with her husband and a feisty hound. When not writing she enjoys travel, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, concerts, and trying anything and everything at least once.
